This is the other recipe from
Every Aussie Kid's Cook Book that I am pretty sure we made at least once. The others that we made were
Kookie-burras and
Witchety Grubs.

Ingredients
- 100 grams butter softened
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1 cup cheddar cheese grated
- 1/2 cup crushed nuts
- 1 1/2 cups flour self-raising
- 24 dried apricots
- raisins/sultanas
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 180 degrees C. Grease the baking tray or cover with sheet of baking paper.
- Put the butter into a mixing bowl and beat until smooth and creamy. Add honey and stir it in.
- Add the cheese & nuts to the mixture and stir until well-blended.
- Sift in all the flour then slowly stir until the mixture is one big, smooth lump.
- Rolls little bits of the mixture to form 24 balls about the size of a 20 cent piece.
- Cook in 2 batches. First batch: put 12 balls on the baking tray., leaving as much space between the balls as possible.
- Flatten the biscuits with fingertips or the palm of the hand.
- Press an apricot and 3 sultanas/raisins onto each biscuit so that they look like animal feet.
- Bake for 8 minutes or until light golden in colour. Take care not to burn the apricots.
Cool on tray for 1 minute then move onto cooling rack.
- Repeat for the second batch of biscuits.
