Here we are again - the last one for now! This weekend has been a marathon. This is Great-Grandma Honeywell's marmalade recipe. Made using lemon, orange & grapefruit

3 fruit marmalade

Notes

  • if you're not sure how to tell whether the marmalade has cooked long enough go to Guava Jelly to see a video on how to test whether your jam will set.

Ingredients

  • 1 orange
  • 1 grapefruit
  • 1 lemon
  • 9 cups water
  • 9 cups white sugar

Instructions

  1. Cut the fruit thinly. Put into a pot. Add 9 cups of water and stand, covered, overnight.
  2. The next morning, boil for 10 minutes ONLY.
  3. Stand, covered, overnight again.
  4. The following morning add 9 cups of sugar to the pot. Boil for 30 minutes.
  5. Pour the hot mixture into sterilised jars and seal. Instruction Image
