Lorna’s Peanut Butter Crunch

This slice is from my Aunt Lorna – she was married to my father’s younger brother. She was the youngest of the aunts by far – there were only 3, and now, she's the only one left.
Note
- This slice doesn't require any baking.
- For those of you in Australia, I have made this with golden syrup instead of the corn syrup.
- The name for Rice Krispies in Australia is Rice Bubbles.
- It's up to you whether you want to use smooth or crunchy peanut butter. I guess the question is whether you want bits of nuts in your slice or not.

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup corn syrup
- 1/2 cup peanut butter
- 2 cups corn flour
- 1 cup rice krispies
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 4 tbsp butter
- pich salt
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 cup icing sugar
Instructions
- The first 5 ingredients make the slice and the remaining 5 ingredients make the icing.
- To make the slice: Mix brown sugar & corn syrup, heat and bring to a boil.
- Add peanut butter & blend well.
- Press into 20cm square pan.
- To make the icing: Combine brown sugar, butter & salt in a pan. Bring to a boil.
- Add milk, bring to the boil again and boil for 3min.
- Cool & add icing sugar.
- Beat until smooth and spread on slice in the pan.
