According to the recipe book, this is a recipe that Rhoda got from Barbara Condie. Barbara had a daughter at the same special school as Amy in Mackay and we knew her from there.

Ingredients
- 3/4 cup butter
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 cups flour self-raising
- salt
- 2 cups dried fruit (dates, sultanas, raisins)
- 1/2 cup walnuts chopped
- 1/2 cup glace cherries
- bit lemon zest
- 1 tbsp (heaped) fig jam
- 1/2 tsp vanilla
Instructions
- Cream butter & sugar, add eggs.
- Add sifted flour, then fruit, nuts and jam.
- Bake in 2 greased slab tins (20x30 cm) in moderate oven for 30min.
