Lemon Honey Chicken Wings

No idea but it was one of the recipes that I put in the Kewarra Cookbook many years ago.

Notes

  • I would serve these with rice & salad for a meal or serve them on their own as nibbles/finger food.

Kitchen Wisdom

Unclogging drains: put a handful of baking soda down the drain, then ½ cup of vinegar and cover for 1 min. Run water to clear the drain.

Ingredients

  • 2 Kg chicken wings
  • 1/2 cup lemon juice
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2/3 cup honey
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce

Instructions

  1. Cut chicken wings into 3 pieces at their joints. Put aside wing tips to use for stock or soup.
  2. Place chicken pieces in greased baking dish.
  3. Bake in hot oven for 30min.
  4. Combine remaining ingredients, pour over the chicken pieces.
  5. Bake for a further 30-40min, basting occasionally. Chicken should be very well browned [nearly burned!]
