Cobb Loaf Dip

  cob loaf                   Stolen from someone who stole it from someone else.  Actually I think this recipe came from a teacher I used to work with in another lifetime!!  There are several other fillings you can substitute which are all yummy as well.

Ingredients

  • 1 250ml Philly Cream Cheese
  • 1 cup Chopped Bacon Cooked
  • 1 cup Grated Tasty Cheese
  • 1 cup Grated Mozzarella Cheese
  • 1 cup Cream
  • garlic, herbs, Chilli sauce, pepper to taste
  • 1 cobb loaf

Instructions

  1. Cut off top of cobb loaf for lid. Hollow out cobb leaving the middle pieces for dippers
  2. Combine ingredients and pour into cobb.
  3. Place in 180 degree oven for approx 1 hour, but check and stir after 30mins.
  4. For last 10 mins of cooking, add lid and left over bread to toast.
  5. Serve hot and gooey
