This is a recipe I got from a good friend when we both lived in Moranbah. I’m not sure where she got it from. It’s the same friend who gave me the recipe for Nan’s jam drops.

    1. Place ribs in a pan, cover with water, add vinegar and bring to the boil. Boil uncovered for 15 minutes. Drain and rinse under cold water. Place ribs in a shallow baking dish.
    2. Blend corn flour with soy sauce, garlic, apricot nectar and ginger.
    3. Pour over spareribs and bake uncovered in a moderate oven for 1 hour.
    4. Add a little hot water if sauce evaporates too much.
    5. I like this dish served with good old mashed vegies.
